MARCH
ATP Algebra - We are on the study of rational equations and functions. This includes inverse variation and graphing rational functions as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational expressions. We will also solve rational equations.
Algebra - Chapter 6 is the study of systems of linear equations and inequalities. This includes solving a system using the methods of graphing, adding and subtracting, substitution and elimination. We will also graph systems of linear inequalities.
Algebra 2
Students have completed their study of rational algebraic functions and will now begin a unit on irrational functions, including radical equations, variation functions and real-world applications.

FEBRUARY
ATP Algebra - We are finishing a chapter on probability and statistics. The next chapter is the study of rational equations and functions. This includes inverse variation and graphing rational functions as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational expressions. We will also solve rational equations.
Algebra - We have just finished Chapter 5: Linear Inequalities. Chapter 6 is the study of systems of linear equations and inequalities. This includes solving a system using the methods of graphing, adding and subtracting, substitution and elimination. We will also graph
systems of linear inequalities.
Algebra 2
The students have successfully completed their first semester final examination! They are now learning about rational algebraic functions and factoring methods for higher-degree functions including the Factor Theorem and synthetic division.

JANUARY
ATP Algebra - We will soon begin chapter 12 which is the study of rational equations and functions. In this chapter, students model inverse variation by writing and graphing inverse variation equations. Students graph rational equations and compare them to the parent function. They also simplify rational expressions as well as multiply, divide, add, and subtract rational expressions.
Algebra - We are now working on chapter 5 which is the study of linear inequalities. This includes solving inequalities by addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We will also solve compound inequalities as well as those involving absolute value. The end of the chapter includes graphing inequalities in two variables.
Algebra 2
Students are hard at work preparing for their first-semester final examination. After the exam, they will begin studying rational algebraic functions, the Factor Theorem, fractional equations, and the applications of variation functions.

December
Algebra
We begin this year studying several topics in preparation for Algebra. They are covered in various sections of chapters 0 & 1. Those topics include: Real Numbers, Data Representation and Analysis, Relations and Functions.
ATP Algebra
We begin this year studying Chapter 8: Exponents and Exponential Functions. This includes all exponent rules as well as applying them to scientific notation. We will also write and graph Exponential Growth & Decay Functions.
Algebra 2
Algebra 2 students are gearing up for a fast-paced year of math with a review of number categories, field axioms, and essential algebra concepts.

OCTOBER
ATP Algebra
We are currently working on chapter 9 which is the study of polynomials and factoring. This includes adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials as well as learning different techniques of factoring. These methods will be used to solve specific types of equations.
Algebra
We are working on chapter 2 which is the study of linear equations. This includes solving multi-step equations as well as those with absolute value. Equations are then used to solve proportions and percent of change problems.
Algebra 2
Algebra 2 students have completed their review of linear functions and are beginning an in-depth study of algebraic systems. They will solve systems of three, four, and more variables using a variety of techniques, including elimination, substitution, Cramer's Rule, determinants, and augmented matrices.
